Following Kentucky’s announcement of granting temporary sportsbook licences, bet365 has entered a multi-year partnership with Sandy’s Gaming and Racing.
This partnership means that Sandy’s Gaming and Racing will permit online bets to be placed on sporting events in Kentucky, through the bet365 app.
In Kentucky, retail sports bets may be placed as early as 7 September, while online sports bets can be placed on the online launch date of 28 September.
For bet365 this means the Bluegrass State will be the sixth US region it will have launched in.
Alongside the partnership, bet365 is anticipated to deliver promotions to new and eligible customers in Kentucky, with bettors able to watch live streaming of sports events, place in-game bets, same-game parlays and early payouts, among other features
Sandy’s Racing & Gaming is a $75m quarter-horse racetrack and entertainment venue under construction in Ashland. The venue is expected to open this autumn; it is a joint venture between Revolutionary Racing Kentucky and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
A bet365 spokesperson said: “We are thrilled to partner with Sandy’s Racing & Gaming. Renowned as the best Same-Game Parlay experience and fastest In-Play product in the industry, we’re looking forward to bringing the bet365 brand to the Bluegrass State.”
Prentice Salter, CEO of Revolutionary Racing, commented: “This is an incredibly exciting time to be a sports fan in Kentucky, bet365 is a trusted, safe and fun way to place wagers on sports and we are proud to partner with them and offer this option to fans across the Bluegrass State.”
