PlayUzu, an online casino powered by SkillOnNet, has commenced its operations in Buenos Aires City, Argentina, after obtaining its licence from the city’s gaming authority (LOTBA).
The Spanish-language casino, which shares its lineage with PlayOjo, has entered the Latin American country in partnership with local land-based gambling operator BuenosAiresSlots.
The casino provides players with money back on every spin, cash rewards from bonuses and no wagering requirements.
Argentina is divided into 23 provincial jurisdictions and Buenos Aires City, each empowered to establish online gaming regulations. Buenos Aires City is among the regions that have launched online casinos.
To comply with the regulations, each licensee must collaborate with a local gaming operator.
With three gaming halls in Buenos Aires suburbs and exclusive rights to operate slots and bingo in two city districts, the local company strengthens the casino’s presence.
Helena Rico at PlayUzu said: “This marks an important milestone for our company and we are excited to expand our business into a new market.
“BuenosAiresSlots is a recognised and respected name, and we look forward to growing the PlayUzu brand in the region and exploring opportunities together.”
Sergio Revilla at BuenosAires Slots said: “We were cautious when it came to choosing an online partner, but we knew we had found the right one when we started looking at PlayUZU. They’re also very serious about localisation and providing a gaming experience that’s tailored to Buenos Aires City.”
In July, through SkillOnNet, Slingo Games was introduced to the Spanish market, joining the company’s 30+ other brands there.
