Youtube confirmed that it will continue to show Campeonato Paulista matches next year. However, the platform chose to enter into a partnership with CazéTV, channel of Brazilian streamer and journalist Casimiro Miguel.
In total, CazéTV will show 16 games from the next edition of the São Paulo men’s soccer competition, 14 of which will be exclusive.
“From the group stage to the semi-final, including two great classics, everything will be broadcast exclusively on YouTube”, explained Eduardo Brandini, head of partnerships for Sports at YouTube.
“The finals, which will be played on a home and away basis, will be co-distributed”, added Brandini.
The executive vice-president of Communication and Marketing at the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF), Bernardo Itri, gave more details of the operation. “The broadcast of Paulistão 2024 on CazéTV is another step we take towards connecting with fans in a new way”.
“In the first two years of the partnership with YouTube, we grew a lot and, next season, we will be able to reach an even higher level of engagement and audience, ensuring greater visibility for the competition, clubs and sponsors of the championship.”
For Paulistão 2024, in addition to the presence of Casimiro himself, CazéTV must have other content creators linked to São Paulo football in the broadcasts.
In addition to YouTube with CazéTV, Paulistão also has rights commercialized with Record on open TV and with Warner Bros. Discovery, owner of TNT and HBO Max, on cable TV.
